It is with great sadness that we announce that Peter Hicks has passed away. Peter established our company with his wife, Jenny, in 1978 when the use of bar codes was in its early years of adoption in the UK. Very soon after establishing the company, Peter became a well known figure throughout the developing bar code industry both in the UK but also all over the world. The many friends that he made will remember him, as do the staff at Axicon, for the ideas and enthusiasm which we all experienced whenever we were with him and because of that he was a truly inspirational person to all that ever met him. Peter's wife Jenny passed away in November 2011.
